Born in Taiwan, Yi-Chuan Chen is a co-founder and conductor of the Arteam Chinese Orchestra. He is currently pursuing a Master of Performance in Conducting at the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London, supported by an RCM Scholarship and private sponsorship from Mr. Chang. He studies under the guidance of Professors Toby Purser, Howard Williams, and Peter Stark.
Chen’s musical journey began as a traditional Chinese bamboo flautist before shifting his focus to conducting under the mentorship of Professor Apo Ching-Hsin Hsu. He graduated from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and has since refined his skills through masterclasses with prominent maestros such as Sir Neville Marriner, Christian Ehwald, Vasily Petrenko, Nicolás Pasquet, Gábor Hollerung, Sigmund Thorp, Shao-Chia Lü, Lawrence Foster, Colin Metters, Ken Takaseki, Tatsuya Shimono, Darrell Ang, Harold Farberman, Mark Gibson, Steven Sloane, and Long Yu.
His approach to conducting highlights the fusion of traditional Chinese musical elements with Western orchestral techniques, aiming to offer audiences fresh and meaningful musical experiences. Chen currently serves as conductor of the Arteam Chinese Orchestra in Taiwan and previously led the NTNU Alumni Chinese Orchestra until August 2024. From 2018 to 2020, he was the Annual Contract Assistant Conductor of the National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan (NCO), a position awarded after securing second prize in NCO’s 2016 Young Conductor Competition.
Chen has been recognised in numerous international competitions, including reaching the semi-finals at the 4th International Conducting Competition for Chinese Music in Hong Kong (2024) and placing in the 11th Jeunesses Musicales International Conducting Competition in Bucharest (2021). Recent highlights include leading the Arteam Chinese Orchestra in critically acclaimed performances of contemporary Chinese compositions.
Chen has participated in music festivals, workshops, and public performances, working with numerous ensembles such as the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Kirishima Festival Orchestra, Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Youth Orchestra, Taipei National University of the Arts Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan, and Taipei Chinese Orchestra Academy Orchestra.
Looking forward, Chen aims to deepen his exploration of Chinese music repertoire and expand cross-cultural collaborations across Asia and Europe. His dedication to musical excellence and cultural exchange continues to shape his evolving artistic vision.
Born in 1996 into a musical family, Yongjun Chen embarked on his musical journey at the early age. As an accomplished percussionist and conductor, Yongjun Chen has forged a distinguished career in the realm of classical music. At the age of 18, he embarked on his musical journey as a percussionist, culminating in a four-year percussion course at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Eager to further his expertise, he pursued postgraduate studies in Percussion at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where his passion for conducting flourished.
Graduating with Distinction from RNCM, Yongjun realized that his musical aspirations extended beyond percussion. This realization guided him to the St. Petersburg Conservatory, where he is delving into Opera-Symphony Conducting under the mentorship of Professor A. I. Polishchuk.
Driven by a commitment to excellence, Yongjun actively sought opportunities for study and collaboration with orchestras. He cultivated a close working relationship with the St. Petersburg Conservatory Theatre Orchestra, showcasing his dedication to the craft. In 2024, Yongjun collaborated with the Inner Mongolia Symphony Orchestra and conducted the orchestra's season concert. In 2025, Yongjun won the second prize in the Conducting Competition of the ‘The Youth of Ancient Strings’ Festival.
Yongjun Chen's pursuit of excellence is underscored by his participation in renowned masterclasses and competitions worldwide. Notable among these are the BMI Masterclass and Competition in Bucharest, RNCM Masterclass in Manchester, IMB Masterclass in Berlin, and the International Conductors Masterclass "El Escorial" in Spain. During the BMI masterclass and competition Yongjun received meticulous guidance and high praise from the Maestro Jorma Panula.
Additionally, he has received instruction from esteemed mentors such as Atso Almila, Jin Wang, Mark Laycock, Clark Randell, and Mark Heron.
Che-Min Chu is a young Taiwanese conductor who holds a master’s degree in orchestral conducting from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), where he studied under Professor Apo Hsu (Ching-Hsin Hsu) and Professor Sigmund Thorp from the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo.
Since 2016, Chu has pursued conducting with dedication and focus, cultivating a rehearsal approach noted for its clarity, expressive depth, and effective communication. His mentors and colleagues often describe him as a conductor with a strong sense of musical storytelling and a keen ability to reveal the emotional essence of the repertoire.
Chu has participated in numerous international masterclasses and conducting workshops, including the Jerusalem International Conducting Masterclass, Gran Canaria Symphony Orchestra Masterclass, and various International Chinese Orchestra Conducting Masterclasses in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
In recent years, Chu has independently planned and conducted full-scale concerts, demonstrating both artistic insight and organizational acumen. With aspirations to perform on global stages and continue refining his craft through international collaboration, Chu remains committed to musical excellence and to sharing the transformative power of music with audiences worldwide.
Kenneth is a penultimate year bachelor majoring in Business and Music at the University of Hong Kong. During his service as the Choirmaster of the University Choir, he conducted the choir and the University Philharmonic Orchestra for multiple events, including the premiere of the Dvorak Mass in D major. Before starting his journey as a conductor, he had performances as a pianist and organist in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Germany, Spain, Italy, Austria and more.

Jurģis Rāts is a Latvian conductor currently studying orchestral conducting at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. He began his musical path at the Riga Cathedral Choir School, where he received a professional qualification in choral conducting and vocal performance. Alongside his studies, he works with several mixed choirs across Latvia and is one of the conductors of the award-winning Latvian Academy of Culture Mixed Choir “Sōla”. As a finalist in national and international conducting competitions, he has received special recognition for interpretation and performance. Rāts has participated in masterclasses led by maestros Vassily Sinaisky, Jorma Panula, and Johannes Schlaefli. With a background as both a choir conductor and soloist (vocalist), he brings a broad musical perspective and artistic curiosity to his work.
Born in Madrid, Gonzalo has studied Conducting at Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid with maestros Juan Luis Martínez and Mariano Alises.
At the same time, he studied piano under the tutelage of Mauricio Vallina, the main guide in his musical career since 2015.
In 2016 he obtained the Premium scholarship for the courses of excellence of the Martha Argerich International Academy and in 2021 the Argentinean pianist awarded him the scholarship of the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Foundation.
In February 2024 he was selected as a correpetiteur pianist for the IV Edition of Crescendo Fundación from Teatro Real de Madrid.
He participated in the course and closing concerts of the XIX edition of the Course of Orchestra and Piano Conducting Fundación Eutherpe under the direction of maestros Bruno Aprea and Joaquín Soriano.
Wong serves as the assistant conductor at San Francisco Symphony and Opera Parallèle, and previously at Oakland Symphony. Wong has conducted the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, Toyama Sinfonia, San Jose Chamber Orchestra, Mercury Soul, and has assisted Teddy Abrams at Louisville Orchestra and Edwin Outwater with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Wong is the music director of the Harker School Orchestra, Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra, and serves as conducting faculty at San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College. Wong holds advanced music degrees from San Francisco Conservatory of Music and University of Southern California.

Wei-Chung Chen is a Taiwanese conductor who is currently pursuing his Doctoral Degree in Orchestral Conducting at Indiana University, USA, with full scholarships from both Indiana University and the Taiwanese Ministry of Education. Studying under professors Arthur Fagen, Thomas Wilkins, and Jeff Meyer, he currently serves as the Music Director of the Indiana University All-Campus Orchestra and the Bloomington Bridges MAYO Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2023, Chen won first place in the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra's International Music Talent Elite Competition and will guest conduct the National Taiwan Symphony Youth Orchestra this November.
An award-winning conductor, Benjamin Firer is the Orchestra Director at Northeastern Illinois University, Assistant Conductor with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra and directs the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies Philharmonic. Benjamin received his Doctorate in Orchestral Conducting from Northwestern University and a Master’s Degree from Yale University. Firer is a frequent guest conductor, and as a committed educator, he was engaged as a teaching artist through the Yale University Music in Schools Initiative.
Roman Reshetkin is a French conductor living in Paris. In May 2024 he graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris with a Master's degree in orchestral conducting, after five years of study in the class of Alain Altinoglu. This summer he will be making his professional debut with the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra in Japan, after winning second prize in the inaugural Hiroshima International Conductor's Competition in 2022.

SzuYun Swing Hsieh is the Associate-Conductor of Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Choir (TPCC), and the music director of The Rejuvenis Group, the conductor of Taipei Women’s Singing Society and Consolation Singers. Ms. Hsieh has conducted TPCC in Taiwan, China, Italy, Vatican, Austria, Russia, Hungary and Turkey. In 2023, TPCC was invited to the World Symposium on Choral Music in Istanbul and the 37th International Ankara Music Festival. In 2019, TPCC won the Golden Melody Awards “Best Vocal Group” conducted by SzuYun Hsieh. In 2018, Ms. Hsieh won the 2nd Prize in the 2nd Boris Tevlin Competition of Choral Conductors (the 1st Prize has not been awarded).
Anna Maria Tabor studied at the Guildhall school of Music in London, specialising in oboe, composing and conducting and has a master’s degree in music from the University of Surrey. She is a keen music educator and has furthered her experience as a director in Finland, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary and the USA as well as conducting a wide range of music in the UK, including music-theatre, choirs, wind & symphony orchestras.

A Grammy Award Winner, Roï served as Conductor & Arranger in the last album of the late singer / songwriter Leonard Cohen. He conducted the prestigious Orchestre symphonique de Montrèal (OSM) sharing the podium with Maestro Kent Nagano and he is a regular Guest Conductor of the Orchestre classique de Montrèal. Roï has studied orchestral conducting at the Jerusalem Academy of Music & Dance under Mendi Rodan. He is currently based in Montreal, Canada.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Mark Hui is a graduate from the Manhattan School of Music and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he studied violin and piano. He took up conducting with the guidance and inspiration of Alan Cumberland and Robert Spano, and currently serves as Resident Conductor at the Hong Kong Festival Orchestra.
Lilyan Kaiv is a conductor of symphony orchestra and a head of conducting department at Heino Eller Music College in Tartu, Estonia. She is also the conductor of Estonian Music Teachers Symphony Orchestra. From autumn 2018 is a conductor of the mixt choir and chamber orchestra of St. Marys Church in Tartu.
Taiwanese conductor, pianist, and educator, Ma is currently the music director of the Rochester Institute of Technology Philharmonic Orchestra, the Taiwanese Choral Society of Rochester and the conducting fellow of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. He began his conducting career in 2013. In Mai Mr. Nemes was engaged to conduct The Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra on several occasions.
Roman currently studies orchestral conducting at the Conservatoire de Paris with Alain Altinoglu, where he also obtained a Bachelor of Music as a violinist. He is principal guest conductor of the Klangraft Orchester Duisburg in Germany.

Hao-yen Chang is a Taiwan born conductor, oboist and music educator who recently finished a master degree at National Taiwan Normal University.

Kelvin Lee studied conducting in York with Dr John Stringer, then subsequently in London with Denise Ham, Mark Wigglesworth, Colin Metters and Toby Purser. He has worked with orchestras across Europe such as North Czech Philharmonic and St Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, among others, and is recently appointed as a visiting conductor at the Northwest School of Music in China.
Jessica Morel currently serves as the Assistant Conductor of the Winston-Salem Symphony and Music Director of the Winston-Salem Symphony Youth Orchestras Program. She has also guest conducted for the Charlotte Symphony, the Amarillo Symphony, and the Abilene Philharmonic, and was previously the Visiting Director of Orchestras at the University of Evansville.
Gabor Nagy acquired his repetiteur/conducting MA degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music. He is a conducting repetiteur and chorus master assistant at the Norwegian National Opera. He is performing also as a concert pianist and chamber musician as well in Scandinavia.

Daren was born in New Jersey and studied oboe performance with Humbert Lucarelli at the Hartt School of Music and Peter Cooper at the University of Colorado at Boulder College of Music. He is currently second/associate principal oboist of the Orquesta Sinfónica Sinaloa de las Artes in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico and music director/conductor of the Orquesta Sinfónica Esperanza Azteca Sinaloa.
Trevor Wilson completed his Bachelor of Music at the University of Ottawa in 2017, during which time he served as music director of the Ottawa Pops Orchestra. In the fall of 2018 he will be beginning his Master's degree at the Peabody Institute under Marin Alsop.

Guro Ansteensen Haugli is a conductor and oboist who recently finished a degree in conducting at the University of Stavanger. She is persuing a career in conducting and has previously been working with different bands and orchestras in the Stavanger region. During her bachelor studies she did an Erasmus exchange at the Musikene school of music in San Sebastian, Spain.
Jungho Kim is a violinist and conductor, originally from South Korea.
He is the new Director of Orchestra at Kent State University in Ohio, USA.
Zoltán Kocsis-Holper is the founding conductor of Kórus Spontánusz, Sopron, and the leader of several local choirs. He won the first prize and the audience award in the National Competition of Young Conductors in 2008. He worked with the Hungarian Radio Choir, and even with the Dutch Radio Choir and the Dutch Chamber Choir in a course. He finished second and was awarded a special prize in the 8th International Competition of Young Conductors in Torino, Italy in May 2015. Singer and associate conductor of Hungarian National Choir since September 2016.
Reo Mizumura was born in Tokyo, Japan. He has conducted Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra and Kons Orchestra, among others.

He is the founder and Musical Director of the Ady Ensemble: a twenty-piece string orchestra that performs a wide and eclectic repertoire – ranging from standard works for strings, through to new commissions, and arrangements of cult/pop classics.
Dan Whisler is currently Director of Orchestras at the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, Kentucky, USA and Conductor with the New World Youth Philharmonic Orchestra in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. He was a winner of the 2015 American Prize in Conducting and has conducted professional orchestras in the USA, England, Spain, Lithuania, and Romania.
Born in 1987, Taiwan. Ms. Hsieh is associate conductor of Taipei Philharmonic Choir and Chamber Choir since 2014.

David Galant is currently a DMA candidate in Orchestral Conducting at The Glenn Korff School of Music. This summer he will be conducting Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Prague Summer Nights Young Artists Festival with Sherrill Milnes and members of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Czech National Symphony, the Prague Symphony, the Czech Philharmonic, and the Czech National Opera while taking private lessons from leading teachers at the Prague Conservatory.
Kornel Laszlo Thomas is currently Conductor at El Sistema Colorado and Music Director of contemporary group, Nebula Ensemble. Previously associate conductor of Denver Philharmonic Orchestra, Lamont Symphony Orchestra and St. Stephen King Youth Orchestra. He has worked with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna and Vienna Chamber Orchestra. He studied conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and composition at St. Stephen King Music Conservatory Budapest.
Zoltán Kocsis-Holper is the founding conductor of Kórus Spontánusz, Sopron, and the leader of several local choirs. He won the first prize and the audience award in the National Competition of Young Conductors in 2008. He worked with the Hungarian Radio Choir, and even with the Dutch Radio Choir and the Dutch Chamber Choir in a course. He finished second and was awarded a special prize in the 8th International Competition of Young Conductors in Torino, Italy in May 2015.
Csaba Tőri is the second conductor of Budapest Academic Choral Society, a solfege and music theory teacher in Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music, Secondary School. He has been awarded the Golden Diploma in several international competitions since 2011, as the conductor of Vox Insana Chamber Choir and MediCantare Girls’ Choir. As the founding member of MoltOpera Company, he has been conducting performances of Haydn’s The Desert Island and Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio in the Royal Staircase of the Hungarian State Opera since 2014. He won the first prize and the audience award in the National Competition of Young Conductors in 2010.
Lee Pophal is originally from the United States and currently works as a music educator, orchestra director, and freelance musician in Shanghai, China. In the past, he has directed secondary, collegiate, and community ensembles and learned from Rodney Winther, Scott Teeple, and others.
